SHORT DESCRIPTION:
OCTO DC-Netis is lookingfor a Web Service Developer to support a team that maintains atelecommunication based Operational Support System.
COMPLETE JOBDESCRIPTION:
The Web Services Developerresponsibilities include being fluent in Agile / Scrum work environments toinclude but not limited to:
--- --- MaintainJava and Spring based web services
--- --- Meetingwith Customers to discover problems and features
--- --- Workingwith Customers to establish desired streamlined workflows for any newfeatures
--- --- Defectsrelevant to tasks and testing those which are not
--- ---Participating in daily stand-up meetings
--- --- Creation ofown tasks as the sole Web Service developer for the team
The Developer is requiredto be very knowledgeable in Java, Spring Boot Framework, Restful WebServices and Knowledge of MVC or MVVC and how they function.
The Developer is expectedto create consistent working Web Services allowing for the best use of thesolution being developed. This would include creation of creating skeletonmock-ups or working demos on short notice.
The Developer is requiredto have a fundamental knowledge of Relational Database Managements Systems,experience with Java Lambda expressions, Version Control frameworks, aswell as strategies for Continuous Integration Development and Testing.
The Developer must havestrong problem-solving abilities and be able to work independently withouthourly assistance from other members of the team when confronted withproblems.
This position requires theDeveloper to research solutions outside their current scope of knowledge ona regular basis and to become fluent in those solutions fast enough to beable to use them correctly to solve issues experienced in development.
ADDITIONAL JOBREQUIREMENTS:
1. Coordinates IT projectmanagement, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management.
2. Plans, coordinates, andmonitors project activities.
3. Develops technicalapplications to support users.
4. Develops, implements,maintains, and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design,development, installation, modification, and documentation of assignedsystems.
5. Provides training forsystem products and procedures.
6. Performs applicationupgrades.
7. Performs monitoring,maintenance, or reporting on real- time databases, real-time network andserial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications.
8. Troubleshoots problems.
9. Ensures projectlifecycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures.
