Serve as a Senior Engineer within the Power Electronics Department
based in our Applied Chiller group in New Freedom, PA! Candidates
must be commuting distance, or open to relocation.
Responsible to design, test, and maintain power electronics
products and systems for Johnson Controls' chiller
applications.
Determine the best techniques, procedures and/or theories as they
apply to the development of power electronics products and
systems.--
Create compliance procedures for the development of
electrical/electronic circuitry designs.--
design electrical/electronic circuitry to meet specified
requirements; Participate in all aspects of preliminary design and
systems architecture, and conducts analysis of the cost impacts of
proposed modifications, upgrades, and new implementations of
application software.--
Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new
applications or major modifications of existing systems.--
Act as the technical lead for troubleshooting field and factory
issues on the range of power electronics products and systems on
Johnson Controls' chillers.
Travel to visit customers, Johnson Controls' factories, vendors,
and/or professional conferences as business needs
Comply with Johnson Controls' Code of Ethics and policies
Is flexible to support customers and business
Open to hybrid work out of our New Freedom PA facility
Ability to travel 10% of their time domestic or international
Master degree on Electrical Engineering with specialization on
Power Electronics
Minimum 7+ years of industry experience in the field of power
electronics or electrical engineering
D. degree with focus in Power Electronics
Strong experience on power electronics controls
Strong experience on advanced tools such as Matlab/Simulink,
OPAL-RT, Saber
